Abraham lincoln was born ,sunday february 12 on 1809 in a log cabin near ,hodgenville.he was the son of thomas and nancy hawnks lincoln,and he was named for his paternal granfather.he attened school with his older sister sarah.in 1818 nancy hawnks lincoln die from milk sickness.thomas lincoln remarried the next year,and abraham loved his stepmother sarah bushjhonson lincoln.as Abraham grew up ,he loved to read and prefered learning to work in the fields.In springfield in 1839 he met mary todd .3 years later he married and he haved 4 children :robert,edward,william,and thomas.later lincoln was selected for the 16th president on november 6,in 1860,also he make slaves were free .
